These isolated and revered sacred groves are untouched because of the religious beliefs and myths associated to them by the people who still practice this age old traditional religion.

Nohkalikai falls, the Noh Sngithiang falls, Dainthlen falls

among the many hot springs in Jakrem is widely believed

to have curative medicinal properties. Nongkhnum, the

second largest river island in Asia is a not to be missed

place. Balpakram, a National Wildlife Park located in South

Garohills, home to the rare Lesser Panda, the Indian

Bison, the Seraw ....... The deep gorges and precipices

of Balpakram are greatly associated to the Grand Canyon.

The locals also believe that the spirits of the dead dwell

temporarily there before on their final journey
